Our village is known for its active population, who work hard to maintain the vitality of the village community. People exchange news in the shop yard, and help is always close at hand if you have a flat tire. We celebrate the biggest holidays of the year, from Midsummer to New Year's, together.
Kerkonkosken Ketterä is a sports club founded in 1934, operating in the village of Kerkonkoski. Previously focused on physical education, the club is now the most active association in the village of Kerkonkoski.
Ketterä has carried out commendable village development work between 2022 and 2025 with the help of Leader projects. The Development Association Mansikka ry has acted as the financier.
Atmospheric party venues for rent
Ketterä owns a community center, or Seurala, in the center of the village of Kerkonkoski. The community center organizes various sports and hobby groups, including in cooperation with the community center and the parish. The community center is also rented out for meetings, parties, and events.
Myös kanavan varrella sijaitsevaa, kunnan omistamaa Wanhaa Myllyä vuokrataan ja sen varauksista vastaa Ketterä. Ketterä vastaa myös kunnan omistamista sataman ja Rantatien uimarannan verkkokoppien vuokraamisesta.

During the summer, you can rent SUP boards, coffee sets, or large coffee makers from Kerkonkosken Satama via the online store. Tickets to events and other activities are also occasionally available for purchase in the store.
