Moving on the water

Kerkonkoski has been a favorite destination for water sports enthusiasts for decades. From Kerkonkoski, you can travel by water as far as Lahti, or north to Pielavesi. The harbor provides convenient services for water sports enthusiasts. Here you will find a refueling station, toilets, a swimming beach, a village shop, and a summer restaurant.

Events

Kerkonkoski is known for its events. On Midsummer, people come to our village from near and far to celebrate. To crown the end of summer, we organize the Kerkonkoski Venetians, and in between, we have all kinds of events. A warm welcome to you!

Cycling

Whether you ride a mountain bike, a road bike, or a good old-fashioned Helkamaa, the roads of Kerkonkoski will take you everywhere! Check out our routes and plan your trip to the heart of the authentic countryside. If you wish, you can also rent electric bikes!

Eat, drink & party

The Kerkonkosken Keidas summer restaurant serves the region's most distinctive pizzas, fresh salads, and breads. Drinks are served until the wee hours! Traditional village weddings are held in the log-built Seurala, in a relaxed atmosphere with good company.

Moving in nature

At Rastunsuo bird lake, you can spot even rarer bird species, and Etelä-Konnevesi National Park is just a short distance from Kerkonkoski.
